I was reading TechCrunch recently and found out that more companies are moving into marketing virtual numbers for small businesses and startups. Vumber, a company that originally targeted marketing a throwaway number for people on dating websites, is moving into the virtual number space that targets businesses. It seems like Vumber can reach more customers this way, and I think it's a really great move. I don't believe Vumber has the capability to route calls to certain extensions like a virtual PBX service does, but in terms of just having a secondary phone number, it seems to do the job quite well.
