Hi, I’m planning to open a cafe with my husband near our home. We want to have a grand opening with all our near and dear ones. Husband suggested that we have some invitation cards sent out to everyone. I am not really sure if we needed this because we are having a limited budget. But my friend suggested Captain Prints, a printing company based in Toronto. I checked their profile and found it very interesting. The designs are really nice and they have custom invitation cards as well, but I’m still not sure if we should really have invitation cards? Is it really necessary? Any other printing company from where I can get good designs at a cheap rate? Thank you so much.
Hey Susy! I'm not an expert on grand openings, but my instinct tells me that if you're going to send out printed info to your close friends for the grand opening, you might be better off turning it into some kind of marketing mailing, so they can share with other friends that you may not know. If they are close friends, your choice of print versus electronic invitations probably won't have a significant impact on their turnout, but you could find a way to arm them with more info to turn them into marketing channels. I've personally had great luck with Zazzle, so you may want to give them a look, if you haven't already.
