1] How current is the pricing on your page? eXtremeFax shows up on their site at $6.67, rather than $3.99 monthly (when paid annually).
2] What about porting? A year ago I ported my Verizon number to one of the companies on your list and I've been fairly unhappy with their customer service, so I'm looking for another company (sure glad I found your site!). Can I re-port it to the next company?

Hey Pete, the pricing on our page should be up-to-date with the vendors' information. You need to go through our link for eXtremeFax in order to get the $3.99 monthly pre-paid price.

Regarding porting your number, please let me know which company you currently have and which companies you're looking about going with and I'll give you porting info. It varies from vendor to vendor.

Thanks; all sorted out. I had not been going through your proper link. All set up and squared away. I will let you know if there is a porting problem.
Ring Central/Extreme Fax checked and said the number is portable. The wrinkle is that it was a Verizon landline number that I ported to eFax awhile back. (I'm leaving eFax because of, not only price, but I'm quite unhappy with their customer service).
The question is: even though I brought the number to eFax, will they let it go?

You're welcome. According to our research database, if you ported a number into eFax, you can port the number out as well. However, there are some stipulations.Check out Section 21.c. in eFax's Customer Agreement. It looks like you will probably have to pay $40 to port your number out as well as provide j2 (eFax's parent company) with a written request to port the number.

Hope everything works out for you. Let us know if you encounter any problems.

- Reece, ChooseWhat Staff
