I have a relatively new (and small) company, but only one phone line. I've done a little research of my own and realized I need around 300 minutes a month, ten extensions, voicemail, and call routing capabilities. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Pete, thanks for the inquiry. The top four companies that we've reviewed (Phone.com, Virtual PBX, RingCentral, and My1Voice) all have these options/capabilities. Check out our comparison grid in ChooseWhat's Virtual PBX category to compare other features that are included with business phone systems.

Well, first and foremost you need to determine what your business is going to need. Then you need to select a PBX or Hosted PBX service option that will offer you the best set of features and reliability at lowest cost. You do have a couple of options here. You can get a Hosted PBX or a Virtual PBX depending on what your needs are. I have a good article on this subject in my blog. One of them has to do with the differences between Hosted PBX and Virtual PBX. The other one simply explains what Unified Communications. In essense - what you are probably looking for is a Hosted PBX service that would provide you with unlimited calling, low cost of entry into the PBX space and Unified Communications capabilities (Email, Fax, Video, Conferencing) as one package while it still fits your small business cost model. Virtual PBX would cost you more while providing less functionality.

All business rely on communications, DLS Hosted PBX could help you significantly improve your telecommunications efficiency and your bottom line. In addition, if your business has telecommuters and geographically dispersed office locations operating in the same communications environment, then your company is a good fit for hosted PBX. Companies operating in industries such as financial services, legal services, travel agencies, real estate offices, government, and higher-education organizations can also benefit from using DLS Hosted PBX.

Please, consider also DLS Hosted PBX. You can find more details at TelephonyYourWay.com.

It should be noted that this discussion has thus far been limited to a virtual PBX solutions, which do not include any physical hardware or phone lines. If you need phones and phone lines in addition to phone system functionality, I would consider RingCentral Office.

Click here for more info on RingCentral Office.

Hey there, I understood your problem. About your concern I would suggest you should use hosted PBX system. The reason being it has got all the options that you are looking for in your phone system. Hosted PBX includes some advanced features like voicemail, fax to mail unlimited extensions and lots more. I am myself using such services from The Real PBX for my business. You may go for this vendor.
