Sistahs in Business EXPO

What it is: SIB EXPO is the only multi-city business expo designed to provide a platform where women of color can expand their reach and grow their businesses.When and where: September 7th, Atlanta, GAWhy it’s worth attending: This expo intentionally focuses on entrepreneurial women of color. It provides a diverse group of vendors, dynamic speakers and panelists, unique networking opportunities, giveaways, door prizes and more.Cost: $10 - $20 

Better Your Business

What it is: An interactive legal workshop hosted by Pardalis & N. from NYC Legal & Networking Events.When and where: September 17th, New York, NYWhy it’s worth attending: Gain insight on forming, protecting and boosting your business legally, and take the opportunity to receive free 1-on-1 legal consultations.Cost: Free 

Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinic

What it is: Free legal advice (in English and Spanish) for small business owners from a group of attorneys, presented by the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, District Bridges, The Latino Economic Development Center, and Uptown Main Street.When and where: September 18th, Washington, DCWhy it’s worth attending: Find answers to questions pertaining to your small business such as, contracts, leases, taxes and more. If you don't have any specific questions, you can simply tell the attorneys about your business and they will give you general advice.Cost: Free 

Small Business Growth Panel

What it is: A panel of speakers will share their start up stories, focusing on how they created the perfect team of employees.When and where: September 19th, Chicago, ILWhy it’s worth attending: Gain an understanding of the diversity of obstacles businesses face as they start, struggle and eventually succeed. This year’s success stories will be from the perspectives of three different business models: a startup coffeehouse, a home-based business and a larger, multi-department company.Cost: $25 

Small Business BOLD Workshop

What it is: A monthly Garland, Texas Chamber of Commerce event for small business owners and entrepreneurs.When and where: September 24th, Garland, TXWhy it’s worth attending: At September’s Garland Chamber workshop, attendees will get the opportunity to ask a panel of local bankers questions such as, “What is the difference between a business loan and an SBA loan?” or “Is there a local bank that can help with small business loans?”Cost: Free - $100 

Small Business Expo 2019 – San Diego

What it is: One of America’s biggest small business conferences focused on sharing business strategy tips and small business trends.When and where: September 27th, San Diego, CAWhy it’s worth attending: The expo facilitates building new relationships via Speed Networking Sessions, 25+ engaging workshops and seminars. Exhibiting at this event is highly encouraged for start-ups looking to raise product awareness.Cost: Free - $100
